I am correct in assuming the electrical plug-in from camper to truck is a standard 7 pin connector? I want to install a connector at the front of the pickup bed and still be able to use the bumper connection for a trailer.

Roy is on the right track......

E.Trailer has kits for adding/extending trailer plugs.

This one is a direct extension from bumper to truck bed....has 8' harness so you can mount in front of bed.

ETRAILER.com has some some hookup kits to use. Also has an extension cord you can use to make your OEM 7-way truck plug longer...
