Sounds like you have the same RAM dealer we do. Earlier this year when we were shopping trucks we went to dealers for all 3 brands for test drives. RAM did not seem to want to sell trucks at all. It was almost comical how far out of the way they went to lose our business. GM and Ford were way more accommodating. Hopefully when I need a new truck 5 or so years from now they will have their act together.

Gimme as break. Director of RAM trucks, speaks to his minions about how great he is doing? Just trying to justify his multi million dollar job. Maybe he should address why they could not satisfy the market demands of 2013? His job is on the line. He has to do that.
And don't give me that******about the suppliers let them down. That's a cop out. RAM needs to select suppliers that can support their needs. Bottom line is, they lost a lot of sales to Ford and GM, because RAM could not deliver.
My next truck might be a RAM. But they need to show me one heck of a lot more than they showed me in 2012. And their sales people, fleet managers and truck managers needs to learn the important hauling and cc spec's of their trucks. They could not advise of the CCC, or the Towing capacity. In fact, one truck manager told me, it's a 3500 so the CCC is 3500 pounds.
And they need to put together a good package that meets my needs. Last time they didn't want my money. In fact they told me, if I can buy the Ford for that price, I should go get it. And it was 20 minutes later and I did.
I'll look at RAM again. But they got a long way to go with me. And I really don't care what hegbloom says. He'll be gone in a couple months anyway. The Fiat CEO isn't going to be fooled by this dope. And he needs to go on a diet, too.

This data is from Polk for 2012 3500s....
Here you can see RAM outsold GMC and Chevy combined last year in the 3500 series trucks.
Couple questions regarding the data. Is that 2012 Calendar Sales, or 2012 Model Year? Is that Sales (fleet and retail, purchase and lease), or is that Registrations?
Does cars.com really know what data they had from Polk?
What about 2500s?
I can tell you that it is not Sales for 2012 Calendar Year.

Straight from the source...Bob Hegbloom is the Director of RAM Trucks
VIDEO
From the video:
"A little known fact, when you look at what's going on in the heavy duty piece of the market, we are, right now, the #2 guy in that piece of the market. We are number one in a number of States in the Country, and that's where we're going with this product that we have in the market today."
What is the source of the sources data?
Guess you'd have to ask him.
However, I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say because he's the Director of the RAM Division, he might be privy to some data on sales numbers.
