Boot between truck and cap?

Does anyone have anything that works well to seal between the pick up truck and the cap/shell, around the sliding window? We keep dogs back there while in transit and I like to keep it open to them.

I've used bike inner tubes but they are round and don't fit perfect, and the don't last too long before popping.

I've seen the Truck Boot(BT3000) but can't find any reviews on it. I don't want to pay $30 for it if it's hard to see through and doesn't last very long...

I've gone with nothing and it gets too loud.

Anyone have anything clever they are doing, or something I haven't stumbled upon?

Yes, the tunnel that I had would allow for the truck slider to be closed.

That's right down the road, will have to check it out.

I'd like to be able to still open and close the slider on the truck.

I had a pick up and canopy and had a tunnel installed. It connected in the sliding window groove on PU and into the groove on the canopy which had a slider, not a fixed window.
I beleive I got it at Super Hawk Canopiy in Marysville, WA.
I did have a canopy boot but the edge seams gave out.
