Cabover vent fix
was archived, and I have an update to using.a cable to secure the lid, for anyone that may be considering this fix.
The Bri-Rus lid worked well but was lost along I-80 in WY (my fault). I had to replace it with an Elixir because I needed the hardware. I made the same mods to the Elixir. Due to the negative pressure over the front of the camper the Elixir flutters a lot. This causes the cable to saw back and forth on the frame and cut a slot, creating more slack and more sawing. I removed the cable and went back to my original eye bolt idea. It seems more positive with less slack. I'll update with results when I have more miles on it.

I have a question. Having TCs back in 70s when they started putting putting those large vents for escape hatches there never seemed to be a problem. Are they just constructing the vents cheaper today causing the problem? Just curiousity.
