CCC when parked

Is it ok to be over your CCC when parked? Like say if you had some extra people over and they were all in your camper at once or if you had a couple extra people sleeping in the camper.

I was just at a rv show and one camper had about 15 people in side...

so the TT I looked at has about 1200 lbs CCC. when we have other family with us we have people weight of nearly 1200 lbs. So yeah with water and gear we would be way over GVWR. I called the manufacturer Grand design and they told me the CCC is just for when towing. They said there would no problems with sleeping the 8-10 people as stated when parked and exceeding the GVWR.

I wouldn't worry about being over CCC if parked. If you have all your jacks down then you have additional load carrying capacity. I'd be more concerned about the internal structure. If you have laminated floors where you have aluminum studs, foam and a layer of thin Luan over that with just vinyl and have too many people standing in one spot you could get some soft spots form too much weight concentrated in that area.

Stab jacks are usually about 2500 lb load capacity. the tongue jack is good for 3500 lbs or more. No way would you hurt the frame or suspension.

I wouldn't have a TT where a couple of people extra would make the unit exceed its weight capacity.

Putting the stab jacks down will help take any excess load off the suspension.

Yes, within reason. Don't want to bust a spring.
It has more to do with tires, axles, etc, while going down the road.

ok. we are way under with out stuff but over with people. Last season I basically just told people to stay out of the camper until it was time to go to sleep.
