The setup is the key. With proper weight distribution, your tow vehicle GVWR can be maintained and it should be great. The main thing is to not exceed the GVWR of the tow vehicle. That should not be a problem with a 4800 lb GVWR trailer.
The Traverse has a longer wheelbase than the Tahoe, and the Traverse actually has a good amount of space behind the third row seat. The Tahoe does not. My brother has a Traverse and just this week he told me that his rental Tahoe feels unstable and has very little useful space behind the third row. I would keep the Traverse.
But, everyone here will preach otherwise and say that it will be unsafe and will tell you that you are too close to the max tow rating of the Traverse. So, if you want to listen to the majority here, plan to buy a 3/4 ton diesel truck with 800 lb ft of torque and a Ranch Hand brush guard.
