My daughter was getting a little warm in her bunk during our last camping trip, so I decided to put her a fan in to keep the air flowing.

I had been wanting to add a 12-volt fan to the main living area anyway, so I decided to tackle both jobs today. A trip to Wal-Mart for two fans($8.48 each) and we're halfway there.

She picked the spot, and I got to work -

I picked up the power from her overhead light. All I have left is to install a short piece of wire cover and I'm done -

I added one in the main area -

I dropped by Lowe's and found this cool soap dispenser. I also just installed these Pop-a-Toothbrush holders -

I added a sopa dispenser to the kitchen area as well. I also installed a Pop-a-Napkin under the radio -

Here's an easy mod. I found this over the door towel rack at Walmart and it works great -

My husband and myself wanted to be able to plus our Ipod or computer with music on it to our stereo that has indoor and outdoor speakers. The only problem was there was no where to do that. The factory stereo is above the dinette. There is an electrical outlet under that facing down. So he bought a plate to match that had a place to plus it in. So once finished it was connected to our stereo and when we wanted to conect the ipod or computer we plugged right in with no problems. I will take some pictures and get the posted hopefully soon!

Thanks for all the great ideas for mods though!

Worth every dollar. I've installed a set on the last three trailers. Shurflo sells it to quiet its own pump! Or, you can make your own, but you'll spend more on parts than the kit costs.

You don't have to spend more. In fact I did it for about half that price. You can buy those hoses and connectors right off the shelf at any hardware store. No fabrication required either. They are basically the same size as the ones under your bathroom sink at home.

The flexible hoses quiet the pump by absorbing the vibration and water hammer effect, instead of just passing it along down the pipe. You can also quiet the pump by adding additional padding under the feet.

They extend the factory hoses and reduce the "hammering" noise from the pump. The set is actually called a "pump silencer kit".

Here is a link to more info -

Count me in the "confused" group... (sorry)

How do extra hoses quiet the pump?

The hoses reduce the noise level from the water pump. I was really surprised how quiet the pump is now!

They are well worth the few bucks and a few minutes of time for the installation.

This may sound dumb, but what was the purpose of adding the hoses. Don't know if this is something to do or not. Thanks

My DW is a believer in hanging stuff up in the closet and was always complaining that all the clothes would just be in a pile when we arrived at the CG or at home. I put a cup hook in each side of the closet directly below the pole and loosely attached two bungy cords around the tops of the hangers. If interested, I'll post a picture later.

Well, the loosely attached bungy cords didn't work so well. I replaced them with a single cord that needed a bit of stretch to reach the hooks and it worked much better. The clothes stayed put on the closet pole and the cup hooks didn't rip out of the wall. Will post pictures later.

We added these scissor jacks in front of our front wheels on the TT and they make a huge differenece in stabilizing the camper while parked.

We mounted them in front of the wheels in case any road debris was kicked up behind the axles.

My favorite mod so far. Added a Marinco 30 amp plug in the hole where the old cord was. No more wrapping the power cord with steel wool to keep the critters out.

Hey Pam, how do you keep the wine glasses from falling out of that holder while you're driving down the road?

We thought of doing the same thing, but thought they would just rattle loose

We performed two operations on our camper this weekend:

1. I was getting tired of having the trash can sitting out in the way and have moved it all around trying to find the best place. Finally had the solution come to me...put it under the sink. Our sink is a corner unit which is like a cavern under there. We cut a hole in the side panel, installed some molding and have a place for the trash and folding stool.

2. Our camper came with a cheap radio that we really wanted to replace. My husband changed it out with a car stero and had to add inside speakers since the old unit had built in speakers.

Old unit:

False bottom of cabinet removed to get to wires and the install of the first speaker:

Finished job with new stereo and new speakers:
