Custom rear step ideas

Our Lance has a narrow rear bumper/step and then a small step that folds down. Exiting the camper it's hard to get your foot on the small steps. Before one of us slips and falls I'd like to make something wider/longer.
I was thinking I could use a hitch extension and create a step. Maybe something about a foot longer out the back and two foot wide. For those of you that have done something similar can you share ideas and pictures of what you have done ?
thanks,

Originally I added some scissor steps. I mounted the bracket to backside of flip over step in stored position, placing top stair tread flush to bumper step. Decreased the step up/down distance about an inch but, for us, more important was gave us a larger landing when stepping out..Width of flip over step plus the top tread

We've since gone to Glowsteps with a 'Basement' step which cuts the distance from door to bumper in half. Its awesome but do miss the larger landing old setup provided.

Take a look Here. They have lots of camper step options. I have their Glow Step Revolution for my rig and the quality is exceptional.
