Decided on a truck after MANY months.

After many months of research, weighing pros and cons and some hands on,finally decided on a truck.
I simply just needed a tow vehicle and put less than 5K a year on truck.

Not a truck basher here, like them all and have owned 1-Ford, 5-Chevys and 1-Ram.

At the end of the day I simply couldn't turn away from Ford F250 7.3 with 10spd auto.
We pull a 30ft trailer +1000 Tounge and scaled at 7350.

Should be a joy.

So good to read a post where poster isn’t trying to MAX everything...or beyond max.

When I first saw your post about "7.3 with 10spd auto" I thought wow, this guy bought a pre-2004 7.3L PowerStroke that's been modified with a newer transmission. :S I keep forgetting about the Godzilla 7.3L gas engine. If you're not driving that much and just need the towing capacity this will do everything you need.

I look forward to hearing a report after you get a few thousand miles on it. That sounds like a very promising drive train.
