My A/C unit seems to work great until it reach's temp and then when it shuts down the compressor is still running until I shut the unit down with the breaker. I think its the relay kit, although I'm not sure enough to spend the money for the kit. A/C unit is a Duo Therm Model 57915, Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Sounds like a sticking relay on the control board.

If you are saying the compressor keeps running, then I would say you have a stuck relay. 🙂

I have tried it on and in auto setting. The fan runs and shuts off as it should but the compressor does not kick out.

I had this problem - sounds like the fan is still running after the compressor turns off. Is the fan set to auto?
