Equal-i-zer lubrication

I am new to owning a trailer and I have an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch. I see they say to only use their brand of lubricant on the hitch. I can not find ANY store locally that has even heard of their brand of lubricant. I've heard different answers as to what else I can use. I've heard white lithium grease and I've heard DRY silicone spray. My gut tells me that white lithium grease would be good. On my first outing, I didn't have any lubricant and it was VERY loud. I ordered some Equal-i-zer brand lubricant which arrives while I'm out on my next trip. Anyone else out there have an Equal-i-zer WDS hitch? What do you use?

I use whatever wheel bearing grease I have at hand. There are 4 points to grease on the Equal-i-zer. Make sure you grease both the top and the bottom of the square tubes on the hitch. That is the 4 points, the top and bottom of each square tube. DO NOT grease the ends of the square spring bars nor do you put grease inside the sockets.

You can also but some teflon spring pads for the L brackets on the trailer tongue. I don't run them but many people do and say it makes it quieter.

I bought my Equalizer pads on eBay, and they work well.

I use hi temp Li grease. Never had a problem. Some will tell you to run it dry, but, like you, I don't like the noise. And I believe that when 2 pieces of metal rub against one another, there needs to be a lubricant.
