Went out to cleanup AF 1150 TC today and the fantastic fan not working. It seems like a simple fix which usually turns out to be a nightmare. Any one out there that can walk me thru it or give some tips would be appreciated.

A few simple question first.. do you need access to the outside roof (have maxi cover on it now) or can it be done just from the interior?

Cannot find the fuse for it any where (any hints where it might be?)

Any ideas for the best place to get one?

Wiring simple ?

2X - My AF811 was wired this way.

I had the same problem last year when I pulled my 5er out of storage. I removed the fuse from the fuse holder and put the same fuse back in. Everything has worked since. Sometimes, stuff just comes loose.

I bet on the cover switch sticking.

Is the cover switch sticking preventing it from operating? My fan has a fuse holder in one corner, speed control in another, fwd/rev switch in another and the last corner has the knob to raise and lower the cover.

No, its all inside.
First things first. Take the screen and trim ring off. Check for a piched or broken wire. When my roof was replaced several years ago the idiots did not connect the wires. You can check for voltage at the wire nuts. Check to bensure you can actually manually open it. Often the cover will stick to the gasket.
If you have power, and if you actually turned it on, and if the motor does not spin, and if you have tried to manually open and that works then likely the motor is dead. But Im guessing you have a loose connection or a broken wire.
