First trip in new TT went much smoother than expected.

Well, We did what folks are never supposed to do. We traded in our HTT on a brand new TT 2 weeks prior to a 9 day vacation to Disney Fort Wilderness (which is 985 miles from my house). Even after and extensive walk through, and a lot of running each and everything in the driveway, I still feel we are lucky that we had no major issues. The TT pulled wonderfully and was very comfortable to tow. One minor issue with the master bedroom sliding doors, but no big deal at all.

All had great time, if never stayed at Fort wilderness at Disney World, we highly recommend it. kids had the time of their lives. We have numerous other small trips throughout the summer so we are ready to go again.

So far, Im impressed with my Viewfinder's build quality, We were a bit nervous while researching the brand due to lack of info out there on it. Though I did find numerous happy owners, still was nervous. No regrets as of now.

How did the truck handle the bigger trailer? MPG about the same?

Truck did awesome. even the big mountains around Jelico there it did fine. over the 2000 mile round trip i was at 9.8 mpg according to the on board computer on the truck. cant complain to bad about that.

And gas in TN is cheap whew!!!! paid like 3.11 there most places. then states on either side was about 60 to 75 cents more.

Good thing you went before the Mouse increased admission prices for all 4 parks...............again!! I live down here and can't imagine how a vacationing family can afford the theme parks anymore.

When Disney, Sea World, and Universal started selling annual Florida Resident passes, and advertising "easy monthly payments" for them....................:E

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

If you plan to go to Kings Island i recommend Cedarbrook Campground in Lebanon. Great little family run campground, stuff to do for kids. Ours love it there.

Yes! Actually I'm very glad to read this as well! I do in fact have reservations at Cedarbrook! Seemd like a really good option for noobs like us and the reviews online were pretty positive. Thanks again!

Yay! I love seeing this post. We are planning the exact trip at about this time next year. We are completely new to TTs and so we're getting ours (if all goes according to plan) in the next couple of weeks. We're planning our maiden voyage to the Cincinnati area to take the kids to their first ever visit to Kings Island and hopefully learn how everything works. Then some more short trips for the rest of the summer and fall to hopefully learn our way around and work out the kinks. Then as soon as school is out next spring we're off to see the Mouse! Congratulations on the new TT and glad it went well.
