Sorry I didnt mention this problem earlier. I could of saved you a trip (or two). I had looked at those box mounts at TSC and I knew there was a reason why I did not buy one, but for the life of me I could not remember why....call it old age or whatever. After I read your reason why it didn't work for you then I remembered why it didnt work for me. I even considered trying to make an extension but than gave up on thas idea and went with the aluminum cargo carrier.

Just thought I would let people know if you plan on getting the TSC platform for a mounting a toolbox on the front that I bought one the other day and took it back today. I received my Curt hitch and installed it this morning. Then I put the TSC platform on it and guess what, the stinger part is not long enough. When I it put into the location to put the pin in the back brace that you mount the toolbox on is 3.5" recessed behind my front bumper. No way to mount the toolbox on it. Also the ad on the TSC says that it is 20" X 36" is wrong. It is actually 25" wide x 26" long including the stringer portion with 20" between the mounting rails, way smaller than I thought it was going to be. With my tool box mounted on it I would have had over 15" hanging off each side. To much non supported area for me. If it had been the 36" then I would only have had 10" on each side that I could live with.
So again it is a buyer beware, TSC did not question the return it just another trip that I made for nothing.
So I'm back to my Curt rack for my toolbox, at least now that toolbox does not bounce up and down like before and that makes me happy.

kerry4951, thanks for the details. I would like to someday own a Honda eu2000i genny. Specs on Honda's website show dimensions (L x W x H) 20.1" x 11.4" x 16.7". Looks like it would fit nicely in the TS box. Have a great week.

I picked up the box at Tractor Supply. Its 19" deep X 48" long.
Bought the aluminum carrier from DiscountRamps.com (Item#HCCA-2249) Make is RAGE.
From the bottom of the carrier to the top of the box is about 19".
I wanted all aluminum due to future rusting issues. Since the pic was taken I removed the 2 red lenses and replaced with amber. You can also get them at TSC or off ebay.
Careful, I've been shopping for a box and was looking at Tractor Supply, but their 48" and 36" boxes list a height of 16". Note kerry4951 said "From the bottom of the carrier to the top of the box is about 19"."

I would have loved to get an aluminum rack but all of them that I looked at on etrailer was to short for my toolbox which I already had so I had to go with a steel one. My box is 56" wide so my rack is 60" but I really like how your carrier looks.
