Hey all, new to the forum. Me. And my wife are looking at campers and I have a rare muscle disease and having a awful time getting up the steps and in the camper. Anyone know of any kind of power steps or platform lift for this ? Thanks in advance for any information given.:@

This Burr Handy Lift was talked about on another forum that I participate on. The owners seemed pleased with it:

Coach Lift looks like another:

No reviews/experience on that one, though.

Good luck!

Trailer lowers right to the ground. Bonus, you can ice fish from it also.

Something like that might work well. I do not remember who made it, but it was an interesting design.

Outback has (had?j several models with a small side ramp near the front.

Take a look at Toy Haulers. They have ramps to get quads and motorcycles in but there is typically a door from the garage to the living area.

This would allow a scooter to just drive right in or at least it's up a gradual incline. If you really need it, I'm sure you could fabricate an extension to make it even shallower slope.

I think a lot of it not a lot of handicapped people RV'ing, so it's a small market. I'm sure a good welding shop could fabricate something that swings out from under the trailer and forms a lift in front of the door.

Look in the yellow pages for a mobility or accessibility specialist. Here in Michigan there's Clock Mobility. They are very skilled engineers and fabricators that can pretty much do anything you want to a vehicle or home.
