Has anyone heard of a Heritage Eagle travel trailer?

I bought a nice little 16 footer but can't find ANY info or references to it or the company that made it. The title says it is a 1981 "Heritage" and the only graphic on the trailer says "Eagle." I don't even see a place of manufacture. The trailer is fiberglass sided with foam sandwiched between. It seems well built and ahead of its time for a 1981. I'd love to see some others. Thanks.

It looks like the Jayco light weight trailers from the early 80's. When I was a kid I used to order brochures from trailer manufactures and I had one from Jayco. (no longer have them). You could probably email a picture to Jayco and ask them.

I'm hoping to buy a very similar trailer - looking at it tomorrow. The owner said he had a hard time finding any information on line about it, so I thought I'd try. This post is the only thing I've found that looks the same. Seems like a great little trailer and I can't believe there aren't more around! He's asking $1200 obo.

I agree, it definitely looks European. I'd really like to find another one to get an idea of how it is contstructed before I start pulling things apart.

Pretty sure it's not a Jayco. I don't think Jayco was making anything but tent trailers back in 1981. It looks a lot like the travel trailers you see in Europe. (I'm not saying that's where it was built. Just looks like it.) The open floorplan, horizontal tanks, lightweight construction, and low chassis.

They are horizontal tanks-

I can't attest to their safety, but I plan to replace them with standard 20lb cylinders mounted further forward on the tongue.

Are those propane tanks laying on their side? Always thought that was unsafe.

Yep, the back corner was the worst of it, but the paneling is still solid. The pics were taken after I pulled all the paint I could get off the ceiling. I'm sealing the roof this weekend (weather permitting) and will repaint the entire ceiling.

Can't help you out with the Mfg information but you have a lot of TLC in front of you. The inside pictures show water damage in a few areas.

It really is a neat little trailer. The box itself is 16 feet. It has a dinette at each end with full galley and an actual bathroom with shower (not wet bath) in the middle. Best of all, it's only 2,000 lbs.

Yes, it needs some TLC, but I hope to make it into a great little boondocker.

I saw that also, but I can't find any examples of trailers they made. Every search I do comes up with Jayco for some reason, but it does not look at all like any of the Jaycos I have found.
