Heated tanks

How could I tell if my 05 lance 920 has heated tanks or the four season package? I looked in all the paperwork and couldn't find it. I just bought it yesterday so I pretty much know nothing about it as of now. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. I don't know any woodwork supplier in my area, even I work in construction, but ebay was always my friend.
See this one for $6, but will have double check the measurements.
Thanks again.

Go to any woodworking store and pick up a 2" blast gate used for vacuum systems. Sounds like this should work for what you want to do.

if it is easy access just duct tape the end of it.Sounds like you will hardly ever use it in the first place. Right?

Side question - my Fleetwood has heating duct going into tank compartment under the camper floor.
I see the duct going under my bathroom sink but no valve or gate to close it.
I don't use the heat very often in CA, but when I do, I don't have to worry about freezing my black tank, so don't want to waste my heat for that. Any idea how to make easy gate on about 2" duct?
During repairs I notice that tank compartment had lot of open holes to the outside, so my heat was pumped straight into the woods. I sealed the holes around the dumping pipe and gaps at the wall, but still don't want the heat to go under my floor.

Thanks guys. I looked and saw they do have heat ducts going to the tanks. After reading some old lance brochures online it pretty much has every single option you could get in 2005. Thanks again for all y'all's help

x2 - Since enclosed & heated holding tanks was an option, you'll need the factory build sheet for your specific camper, showing all the options installed at the factory. If you contact Lance with the serial number, they can send you a copy.

I did add one to our previous Northstar TC's grey tank. Dropped the bottom panel (that I had added), stuck the heater on, ran the wires and done.

The pads as far as I know always have a lighted switch. You need to have water in your tanks when you run the pads.

My tanks are heated also. They are completely enclosed and there is a heating duct into the compartment. Also a vent that opens into the living area from the tank area. That way the air can circulate.

mine is 4 season but doesn't have tank heaters, it just has ducting to the tanks. I'd check the windows, if it's got the 4 season package they'll be dual pane.

Might be a slight spin on mine. Mine says there are there but I don't know if they're working.

With help from this forum I learned:
- if you can visually inspect the tanks, you might see a pad and some electrical wires
- if you can't then I've been looking for a voltage drop when I hit the On switch

Since I don't see a drop, it could be
- that my heaters don't work
- or it's not cold enough for their thermocouples to allow them to come on
- or they're 120V based and not 12V

Sorry - that's the best I've got.
