doughboy,

He plugs a portable 12 volt air pump into the 12 Volt DC plug to pump up the air bags on the truck.

What he meant was, he's not rich enough to buy an on-board air pump to mount on his truck.

That is an awesome idea! I will have to do this one.

I don't get it if the air ride is on the truck and you don
't have a pump then what is the 12volt plug for

Here is our old Outback. We liked it besides the waste space in the rear and there was no where to sit...

And here's our new 2011 FlagStaff as we get it ready to go camping.

I did my first introduction as a question the other day, but now that we have our trailer home, I'll put a pic & description here! My husband & I just bought a "fixer-upper", a 26' 2000 Coachmen Futura with water damage under the lineloum. It was totally "as-is", so we dont know what works & what doesnt! But, it was an amazing price, so what the heck - might as well have an adventure! We got it home last night, and had our first "horray it works" moment when we put the awning out - no tears, looks good! I plan to post pics of our progress as we go thru this process. Below are a couple from yesterday. (btw, we're pretty proud, this was our first time towing anything, and it went well!)

We made it home! (or to my parents yard, where we will be storing it)

The awning is in good shape!

One of the damaged areas... (can't wait for after pics!)

Hi everyone! I thought I'd make my first post after "lurking" around in here for the last week or so! My wife & I are relatively new to camping (as adults)... we both did a lot of it when we were much younger, but it's been quite a few years! We purchased a nice pop-up trailer in April of this year, used it 5 times and decided it was time to upgrade! We both love camping so much that we made the choice to give up our cruising "habit" of 3 cruises per year in favor of camping! I figure the $$ we save not cruising will pay for this new TT in no time!

On Monday of this week, we traded in our 2010 Starcraft 1224 tent trailer for a 2010 Gulf Breeze Sport 27BKS TT. We pick up our new trailer next Monday and we are so very excited about it!! The pics I'm attempting to show are not actually of ours... I got them from the web. Ours is the exact model with a few different options.

I've got to be honest and say that I'm a tad nervous about towing this for the first time! Our tent trailer was 18' tow length... and it was quite easy to maneuver. This one is 30'!! My wife says I'll do just fine! Our tow vehicle is a 2010 Ford F150 5.4 V8 with factory tow package. I believe the tow capacity on this truck is 7400lbs. Our new TT is around 4800lbs. dry, so loaded it should be no more than 5500 - 5800lbs. The dealer is putting on a new type of tow hitch for me as well as anti-sway bars that allow for easy back-up. I don't remember the makes, but I could post them later.

Anyhow, I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I look forward to getting to know some of you. I welcome any comments, suggestions and advice/tips anyone may have. This will be my first time dealing with an on-board toilet also, so I'm "freaking out" over how all that works also. I understand I don't want to cheap out when it comes to accessories for this! LOL

I hope I can successfully post pics CORRECTLY!! Thanks everyone!
Tim
