Home-made stable lift type system?

Has anyone attempted this? I actually like the way the stable-lift system lifts the entire side of the camper. however, as probably with most, I don't like the look of the frame on the truck the entire time.

What I was thinking about is a frame system that lifts the camper with angle iron on each side at the same time. The system would be a drive over system just like stable-lift, however it would not leave with the camper, it would stay at the home base.

This is under the assumption, that most do not remove their camper at any other location other than home. You would still need the camper jacks to level and stablize the camper at the campground, thus it still could be removed if needed elsewhere.

Am I crazy?

I don't know if this helps, but I created this just to keep the jacks upright and correctly spaced:

The jacks slide int the sockets that are welded upright and spaced using reinforcing bar.
