Hoppy 7 to 6 adapter

Just a heads up a bought a Hoppy 7 to 6 adapter and it was wired wrong.
They had the charge wire and the brake wire reversed. AS soon as you plugged it in the brakes would engage. Took it apart and reversed the wires and it works fine now.

Just trying to save someone some grief if they purchase one and it does not work. Mine might have been a isolated problem.

I had borrowed a car trailer with a 6 pin plug.

Careful on saying there is not two versions of the seven blade connector. The blade is normally wired for RV applications which they are. However, people have wired them like the seven pin horse and utility trailer configuration like found in seven pin round pin.

I went through the same thing once! Drove me nuts because I returned one adapter and the 2nd one did the same thing! THEN i discovered some genius way back one decided we should wire the same connector two different ways.

Sure glad there are no (variations) on the 7 pin.

I did not known there were 2 versions. Where I purchased mine they only stocked one version.

I was just trying to save someone the trouble I went through.

Live and learn.

From etrailer.com;

Note: In some applications, the black battery power connection and the blue brake controller output connection are reversed.

You are like me. Give me two choices and I will pick the wrong one every time. :S

There is two versions of the adapters. The center pin can be auxiliary or it can be brakes.
Look at 47525 and 47535
