How do you secure your scissors steps?

When we drive over bumpy roads, the folded steps unfold somewhat. So far they haven't dragged on the ground but . . .

Have you come up with a good way to secure the folded steps so they don't sag?

If you remove the steps and put them inside the camper, how do you secure them so they don't slide around and cause damage?

I built a long rod with a washer at one end that went up against the steps. At the other end, the rod went through the step holding framework. The rod had a hole in it that I would put a push through clip through on the other side of the frame.

I use a 1" aluminum strap screwed to the back edge of the top step.

The strap has a slot in it that fits over an eye bolt screwed to the back of the bottom step.

Solid fastening.
