speaking of video, clicked your links and YouTube says they are private videos, won't play.
But, nevertheless, enjoyed the post, the story, and the photos.

Hunting was a complete waste of time.

Where the heck were you? We see a dusting of snow at the top of the mountain but not so much as a frost in the valley yet.

Reddog1 wrote:No problem RD. It was my first trip in fall conditions with my 100 w solar panel and cloud cover really prevented it from putting any decent charge back into the batteries. I am now thinking I will add a second panel to get better opportunities to put juice back in the boxes. I run all LED lamps in the camper ( you can see them on here along with the incandescent) and a WAVE 3 catalytic heater so my draw is not great to begin with. I think I also would like to change over to 2 - 6 volt in series.
finaddict, you might consider telling us how your Truck/TC and Tracker performed in this trip, and others. Did you flat tow, have issues with chains, do you usually go hunting with that setup?

Sorry I don't have any pics to go with this, but here's a brief report of my experiences last weekend.

... I head back to the Tracker, back to camp, load up everything , hook up the buggy and head for home. I am hopeful that the snow wonโt be so deep that I am unable to get up the 1500 foot climb to get out of the valley that I am alone in. Tires seem to be digging all the way to the gravel and I donโt even slip a tire. The trip up the hill is relatively uneventful. ...

Downwindtracker2 wrote:Thanks DW2. Both of those tricks I know, and PA's bungees are perfect. The snow was a complete surprise and I should have been better prepped. I have this tarp set up with conduit strapped to one end that goes into hooks on top of the luggage rack at the back of the camper roof. Wind gusts were so sudden and strong (over 40 mph) that it ripped the grommets out.
Hunting is much more than meat for the freezer. However, I do love moose meat. When you are hunting all your attention is focused on God's glorious creation. The rest just drive through it.
Tarps and wind. If you bungee it down, it will lift and not tear. Princess Auto sells bungees with round balls just for that, use every hole and you will never have to worry about wind. If you use a center ridgeline, it will shed snow.
