I don't get it. Seems the world went nuts and everybody got rich but me.

Well for some strange reason the MSRP ‘add on’ for camper that I’ve had my eye on for the last month inexplicably just went up by a whopping $1400 dollars - what gives??

Welcome to my world. I had received a quote on an Arctic Fox 990 last year, and called them back this year and it's gone up $4,000 for the same rig. Yeah, that's sustainable.

Well, sadly it’s not really that the cost of things is going up, it’s more to do with the value of one’s money going down...................

You think they are all paying cash? Refi the house another 30 years for some cash and then grab a 20 year RV loan. Yes this should turn out well.

Supply and Demand. People want them and are willing to pay for it.

Problem will be the inevitable loss when many of these people find out they really don't like Camping/RVing/Glamping. I will bet 80-90+ percent of people who purchased, did so on the 30 year (or more) payment plan, and have no idea what they got into. Look ma, it's only $250 a month!

I've been looking for months for a clean, used truck camper at a reasonable price and I have found nothing. For kicks I looked up the value of my 5th wheel, which I purchased almost 10 years ago, and the NADA price is almost up to what I paid for it at that time. It's insanity.

There is probably still time to get rich, but you’ll probably have to follow the new rules and change jobs a lot to get significant raises, bonuses, and stock. Or find someone to marry ... maybe a few times. 😉

Fyi, I bought my TC 15 years ago. But, I’d say that most of the major improvements to TCs and pickups happened about that time.

Number one mistake I think I made for depreciating assets was probably buying new too often. You just need to find the RVs/vehicles that people who take care of their stuff are tired of. They are out there.
