One will do as they are tied together but not needed INHO.

BigCity,
I'm gone 6-8 months every two years or so, and I always make sure batteries are fully charged then disconnect terminal ends and tape'em up. I have always been pleasantly surprised when it get back and turn the key. I have a 94 Jeep wrangler and now my 03 Ram. Batteries are always optima yellow tops.
My experience/two cents, for whatever it's worth. Good Luck!
Thank you and be safe out there!

Are you leaving it inside or outside? If outside and there is no outlet you can use one of those solar charger. They put out just enough to maintain the battery (500mA). They do make ones that put out closer to 1A,but I don't think you'll need that much. If inside or near an outlet get a maintainer.

Funny story.
My son deployed for a year and left his truck at my house. I let it sit in the Vermont winter for about 6 months. Every month OnStar sent him an email asking about the truck. I started driving it on Sunday's to give it a little exercise. The OnStar emails changed to bring the truck in, there is a problem with your odometer. So it sat for about 6 months in a Vermont winter and never had a problem and it continued to send updates to OnStar.

I have left my Dodge Ram diesel parked for 4 months without anything and it started just fine like it had been driven the day before.

I don't disconnect anything, just put a maintainer on and leave it. Have let it sit for more than 5 months with no issues.
