So I have to get my TT inspected and titled (pennsyltucky).

I just got my pickup titled and legal.

So how do I do this?
I imagine a regular service station wont know how..

Do they inspect just the TT or the truck-hitch-TT all together?

Call around and find an inspection station that does trailers...not all do. I arrived and backed the trailer into the garage and left my truck attached. They'll check the lights on the trailer, do a visual on the hitch set-up including the break-away switch, do a visual inspection of the trailer frame looking for rust, etc, and check the brakes. Mine was done by first checking the "meat" on the brake pads which he could see through a cut-away port on the backing plate of the brakes and then the mechanic jacked up the trailer and spun the wheels one at a time. He had me hit the truck brakes and made sure the trailer wheels stopped. Pretty simple...took less than a half hour. He didn't want me to leave it.

youre complaining about $7?

We pay $7 every time we go through a traffic light. Or if a cop looks at you
its $7. Every time a politician blinks its $7.

.... all of a sudden, I want to strangle somebody. lol.

Here in Tx, in my area anyway, I have to go to the RV dealer.

They checked brakes, lights and tires. He didn't even get in the truck. He had me put it in drive while holding the manual brake controller with the truck in drive. I eased off of the controller and the rig started rolling forward. I then turned on the lights and emergency flashers. He walked around the rig and said I'm good.

What a waste of time and gas. It cost me $7. I would have gladly paid $20 to not go through the hassle.

Trailer inspections in PA are done at an RV dealer or an inspection station with a trailer certificate (or whatever they call it) I've not found any places other than RV dealers or big truck service, so I go to my local RV dealer.

Edit: As I recall, years back, they were supposed to check it with the truck to verify all was working properly. Lately I've been dropping off the trailer and picking it up the next day.

Call your regular service place and ask. Our service station in town does vehicles up to a certain GVWR and TT on a regular basis. I do believe you have to leave your TV just so they can move it in/out of the shop. Your service station may be different though. Or any trailer dealer can do the inspection. They probably have a tractor to move trailers around at a place that deals in trailers.

Here in VT most service stations are also inspection stations.

They basically check trailer registration, lights and wheel bearings. I don't recall that they checked anything with the TV or that the electric brakes worked.
