Insurance for truck campers.

I just had a review of my insurance. I have one provider for all of my insurance needs. One home, one rent house, five vehicles. I was informed that my truck camper was only covered for $1000 while sitting under the carport. And while one a truck it was only covered for up to the cost of the truck. Meaning no additional coverage for the $25K of the camper alone. If the campers is damaged but not the truck the camper coverage is the same as the truck. With depreciation. I was supposed to have all this coverage issues handled in 2008 when I bought the camper. It has been on three different trucks. And when I place coverage on the new trucks I get an additional rider for the boxes and bed. But now they say the camper most have it's own policy. To cover it on or off the truck. How do others here handle insurance on a 4500 flatbed and camper?

This is a hard question to ask, because each state has its own rules regards to insurenced assets.

Insurence companies can vary in their coverage regards to property liabilities. Insured risk factors are taken into consideration as well. Myself, I carry an additional unbrella policey just because I live in California, a state where most people scream the word "SUE" if they stub a toe on your sprinkler head adjacent the public sidewalk...

If you are concerned, have your agent perform a reevaluation of your policy.
