yeah I saying a good bye to my long time SnowRiver, My wife cant take it anymore. the claiming over the cab and the falling on the steps is too much for her. I did had a hard time claiming over the cab too, my knee and my back is killing me. so she won and wanna trade for the sunset trail TT. (26rbs, Crossroads)
It was surly hard on me to see it go, it was the best camper I ever had since 12 yrs old.
This TC forum was also great, I had learn and enjoy the benefits of using the TC. Many thanks for your help.

I can certainly understand you going to a TT. I have had one back surgery & one hip surgery & now headed for a neck surgery. I'm still not ready to go back to a trailer because they won't let me pull my boat behind one in this state. Crazy thing is I was a truck driver for 38 yrs. before retiring.

Well I traded my Lance981 for a 28' TT about 18 months ago. My wife and I had some of the same problems with the TC and we wanted more space.

There is good news and bad news as usual. The good news was the space. The bad is that the TT won't go where the TC went. As a matter of fact we just had the chance to buy an older Lance in good condition. We are now equipped with both!

Im sure a lot of folks gave up tc for that reason.
the reason I chose TT is because I can load the 12 ft albumin boat on the truck.

I got my SnowRiver for almost the exact same reasons. The previous owner, also a member here on the forum, sold it on consignment at Five Star RV in Henderson, Colorado, where I bought it. He told me in a PM the reasons, and they're the same as yours.

They also apparently bought a TT to use, preferring to not climb into the bed area anymore.

Too bad you just can't keep the TC and use it for yourself at times but it does require the use of the truck and other things... Having lived in the Arizona Country the TC was a very popular thing to own back then... It has its limited storage problem for us so we never got one. Then there is also what to do after you setup camp and want to go sightseeing somewhere...

That is sort of what happened here with our 5th wheel and OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. My truck wasn't big enough to safely pull the 5th wheel we first got after tent camping so it got parked here at the house and we got the OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer.

My love is camping off the power grid and Momabear likes that too but really likes to go to camp grounds with hookups as well... We almost need to get a nice clean 20-24 foot regular TT trailer that my truck can safely pull. Then we would have both camping style covered.

We have pulled the popup trailer all over the Eastern States and Gulf States and as far West as Texas and Oklahoma.

We still use the 5th wheel as a second bedroom getaway place setup near the woods here at the house.

Now that we are retired with limited fixed income I guess we will just ride the rest of the way with what we got...

I know I would have enjoyed the TC camping style...

We still have our TC but have been enjoying our Class A too. I think the Class A will eventually win out just due to the room and convenience of the bathroom, etc. while traveling.
