Just ordered a Wolf Creek 840

Hello all new to the forum here, well i finally pulled the trigger and traded in our 28ft TT and ordered a 2015 Wolf Creek 840. Very excited and can't wait till May when its supposed to be done. My reasons for going with a TC was to take our boat on more trips and adventures, and the fact my kids have grown and don't travel with us much anymore. I found this forum very useful in making my decisions on what options i wanted and i'm sure i'll have many questions to come.

Congratulations on the new Wolf Creek. We have a 2013 Wolf Creek 850 sb, and love it. WE have the Fox Landing, which DW loves, and with a 34 inch extension is great for towing the Cargo Trailer, and/or utility trailer. Pulls the boat fine as well. Look forward to hearing about it when you take delivery.

Congrats. I've been a very happy with my Wolf Creek TC. This August will be 4 years.

The layout of the 840 is very nice. Please post pics when you pick it up.

Congrats! I really like how they put an additional window in the rear of the camper by the stove. What options did you go with? I struggled with the 850 and 840, and went with the 850. If my kids were out of the house I would have went with the 840. Hope you post some pics and trip reports with it.

I went with the Thermal pane windows, rear bumper, ladder roof rack, gen ready, a/c, 5 cubic fridge, 2nd wardrobe cabinet up front, rear awning. I wanted it in flagstone but apparently that is a popular color and they are out of it unless i wanted to wait till August to take delivery, so i went with the sandstone, and Northwood is gonna throw in the Fantastic fan, outside shower and Radio for $100. We are really excited May seems so far away......lol

Excellent choice of TC! I prefer the non slide hardwall a campers. I live fairly close to a Northwood dealer and have toured every truck camper Northwood makes and they appear to be well built. I like the front bath in the 840 and its big for a non slide.

Congratulations on your purchase of your Wolf Creek. The 840 is a nice design and they appear to be well built units. This is my third year with mine and it has served me well. Took 13 trips with it last year and have never had a problem with it.

Sounds fun. Now I'm considering going the other way, lol. I'll be interested in some comparisons after you start using the TC.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Wolf Creek 840. Just like you did, I've read a lot of reviews and have seen a lot of the videos and it looks to be a very nice camper to own. I know you will enjoy your new camper when it finally arrives.

Where did you order your Wolf Creek from? I would like to see one. I live in S/E Michigan and currently own an Arctic Fox 811, which has been an excellent TC.

I ordered it through American RV in Grand Rapids unseen, cause there are none to be found anywhere here in Michigan. I have read many reviews and watched every video i could find on Youtube. The first time i step foot in one will be my own.

Yes, the dealer will make up a cord. A pigtail/connector that plugs in to the camper will come with the camper from the Northwood factory, and the dealer will install a connector on it to match whatever is in your truck bed.

Odd though, I've never heard of a 7 pin flat used for RVs or trailers.

Sorry I guess i wrote that wrong, 7 pole connector, same connector thats on the rear bumper

Congratulations on your purchase. The ability to tow a boat or our small, really small, horse trailer was the major reason we went TC. We also have a drop down gooseneck ball in the truck and it hasn't been a problem. Spray in liner too. No mat as our old dually, 2004, doesn't have really tall bed rails and camper clears well and hasn't moved around at all. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Thanks Morsnow yes been looking at torklift tie downs and fast guns. I just purchased my 2012 Silverado in the fall, I'm getting a LineX bed liner sprayed in this week. My truck is set up for a fifth wheel with a flush mount B&W gooseneck hitch hopefully that won't be a problem with the TC. I also purchased a Rubber mat to put in the bed. The truck has a 7 pin flatblade trailer connector mounted in the bed from what i read that should work with the TC cause the dealer will make up a cord to connect the camper to the truck?

Congratulations! You'll have plenty of time preparing your truck with tie downs, power, suspension, etc. I love my Wolf Creek, I hope yours treats you as well as mine has!
