Hey all,
What do yall do on the simple overnight stay on a trip, do you set up as you normally would at your final destination, or just park and sleep? I guess what I was wondering is do I need to unhook the TV, and put out stabilizers etc.when just passing through, or park, sleep, and check out? thanks

For an overnight, if I can level the Scamp without unhooking, I do not unhook. In a Campground or Not. And the site has room for both hooked together (should be understood). If it is not level, I leveled as needed (front to back or side to side).

I normally do put the stabilizers down (easy enough to do & I like a steady platform). But the Scamp is short & only one axle. Years ago with a longer tandem axle TT, I did about the same. But it had a more stable platform. Also Bunk Beds in back for the kids. At lest the rear stabilizers on it. Both with the Scamp.

Bottom Line: Whatever works for you.

For a overnight I rarely unhitch. Only if I have to. I do drop the stabilizers unless traveling by myself. Kids moving around without stabilizers wakes me up.

I would plug in if I stopped where there was electricity. I have set up and run generators when needed but most often do not as I have plenty of battery power. I Would hook up to water and dump if available and I needed to but most likely would not need to for an overnight.

I often stop somewhere /park while traveling- passing thru. I use my TT for camping but also as a bedroom when visiting family/friends and as a guest bedroom at my home. I seldom stop at RV sites while traveling to national parks several states away. Mostly I camp on private property, Corps of Engineer sites State and city parks.

Our routine for just an overnight stop:
1. Don't unhook
2. Plug into electric
3. connect water
4. connect sewer
5. Take a shower
6. Have a couple of glasses of wine or a margarita and tell each
other how lucky we are
7. Eat dinner
8. Go on the net for a bit
9. Hop into that nice cozy queen size bed with a book
10 read a chapter or two and then sleep unless she snuggles up

It is whatever you are comfortable with and if the site is level. We have had a few quick over night stops for some zzzz's. I keep her hooked up, plug in and get to bed. No stabilizers, front door matte or chairs.

If it is not level, I have leveled her off as needed (front to back or side to side) the went to bed!

I always overnight in an RV park. Have no desire to do parking lots. Sometimes I unhook, sometimes not. Often put down the stabilizers, but not always. I do always connect electric. And I always connect water for showers. Normally don't connect sewer unless I need to dump.
So basically whatever I feel like at the time.

Whatever you feel comfortable with! Sometimes the parking spot is not big enough for our TT & truck - so we do unhook and but the stablizers down. If we can leave the truck hooked up we will just sleep and go!
