Just turned 150k!

The truck just turned 150k. That is 90k miles under our ownership. Other than routine maintenance I have only had to replace a few items: rear axle seal at the hub, exhaust brake vacuum pump (lasted the standard 70k) and front end joints (2k miles ago). Say what you will about brands but this 06 Ram is one solid truck. With the price of new diesels I don't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon.

Congrats and good luck going forward but 150k is nothing on a base gas engine let alone a diesel.

I have seen many hot shotters with over 1,000,000 miles on those engines. Routine maintenance and watch temps and fluid levels and they should last. If something is hot or low on fluids it needs attention asap...
