Looking to sell - any advice?

The wife and I purchased a new 2019 RV last year, and are having second thoughts on our future plans. We bought a used 2010 Kodiak, loved it so much we wanted something a little "nicer". Well, now she wants something more along the lines of a cabin.

Being a 2019 - what kind of loss can we expect? Are we better off trying to sell it 3rd party (has an extended warranty), or should we look at just selling it back to the dealer and paying off whatever losses we'd have out of pocket?

Is this a "hang onto it for 3-5 years" and we might not be quite so upside down? Or is there an odd "its still new" time that we can sell it and only lose a couple grand? FYI, we've got 32k invested into it after warranty, TTL, out the door pricing.

If you didn't get a good deal when purchasing, that is paid closer to MSRP than some, then it would be wise to keep it for a few years.
If however you got a smoking deal, that is 30+% off MSRP then it might not be too bad to sell and cash out the difference.
Selling a newer used RV is always a bad deal. But selling a newer used one when you owe a lot is painful.
It is however just money and if your money is expendable and comes in large chunks each month they 'Hey' dump the TT and move on.

id expect to take a 30-50% hit. would definitely look at selling privately. might be better to buy the land and use the trailer as a cabin

A quick look on RV Trader shows new 2019's of that model selling as low as $24k
They would still have a warranty (for what its worth)
I don't know if the dealers are straight up dealers with no add ons or if they are among the many who will try to tack on thousands in Bogus "Fees"
Research them and decide on your chances of selling against that competition.

There is one used 2019 listed in there for $21995

You'll always get more selling on your own than to a dealer.

You'll always be very sad and surprised at how little you'll fetch for it at any age. At 1 year old, you're competing with new units on dealers lots.

Good luck!
