Lower Stableloads Review

I have had 4 different TC’’s over the years on 3 different trucks. I have added upper stableloads to to 2, 2 trucks had air bags, Rancho 9k’s on 1, bilsteins now, 19.5’s on my last srw and now I just added lower stableloads to my current setup.

By far the best results are with the lower stableloads out of all the mods before. They are the first mod I have ever done where my Wife said, it rides better. I’m just wrapping up a 6 day trip up in the WA Cascades and am very happy with the results. I now have almost zero air in my bags and will stay that way unless I tow the boat.
The lower stableloads raised my rear just enough to where i’m just about level, and that’s fully loaded including 64 gallons of fresh water. My side to side sway and porposing are all but cured, much better experience.

Anywho, just my 2 cents on what worked very well on my setup. Highly recommend them.

Lower StableLoads while engaged on an empty truck will definitely make a harsher ride. I used pressure treated wood blocks on my F250 to test the affects of preloading the bottom overload spring and knew I needed a way engaging/disengaging the preload if I was to use the truck with and without the camper.

The upper StableLoads will make for a harsher ride on rough roads when at speed since the upper overload will have less wheel travel before engaging. You will not notice the upper StableLoad on well maintained roads.

Yup, agreed. I made homemade ones. But wish I’d done it sooner. Helps as much with body roll as it does load carrying imo.

Think of StableLoads as adjustable preloads for your OEM suspension. The upper pads/blocks preload your over load spring while the lower wedges preload your main spring pack.

I found the uppers do more for sag due to their height and the lowers more for handling due to interaction with the main springs.

Recently installed lowers on my F350 SRW w/ adventurer 910. Let all air out of bags. Set 2 spacers in front and 3 in rear. Rear of camper rides slightly higher than level. Rides great on pavement but too rough on gravel. Think I will try removing 1 spacer on rears. Weighed rear at 7300 all loaded.

No, I have a dually with 17,s now, upper and lower stableloads, bilsteins and bags.

My previous truck was a srw with 19.5 visions, rancho 9ks, upper stableloads and bags.
If I still had my previous setup I would have tried lowers looking for a better ride knowing what I know now. I bet they would have helped, not sure.

Am I correct that you now have,bilsteins, lower stable's ,& 19.5's. On a recent,2500 mi.,12 day trip with my new 19.5's,with upper stables, I have to say the 19.5's made a remarkable improvement in my sway, and eliminated 95% 0f my porpoising, I think the particular section of road had something to do with the other 5%,should have done this earlier. Very happy with the 19.5's. Do you think the lowers will be of any benefit at this point ?. Thanks K Mac.

That has been my experience too. The lower stable loads make the best and most impact on the ride.
