My trailer has Westlake ST tires. Size 225 75R15 Load range D (2540lb).

I'm looking to replace them with something a little more reliable. I'm not sure I care if the tires are ST or LT and don't really want to restart that discussion. I'm looking for either a recommendation for a replacement or better yet, a site that gives the specs (diameter, rim width, etc.) for various tires.

I haven't been able to find any LT tires in this size that have an equal or better load rating. Just looking for information.

Thanks to everybody for all the good information. Now I have some research to do if I can find a little time.

Someone asked what the problem was with my Westlake tires. I have had no problems at all but they are on a new trailer. I do have about 4K miles on them. I haven't seen anything but bad reviews about Westlake so I'm thinking of changing them out before I have a problem. Not too worried about spending a few hundred bucks on new tires if it prevents a problem on the road.

I may not change at all as it seems the more I dig the more I find bad reviews on just about every tire brand regardless of ST or LT, American or China built.

My FW came with the Provider tires, mentioned above. I am happy with them, and plan to run them a couple more years. I have read good things about them, concerning the above average construction, and the 81 mph speed rating. Mine are the same size the OP has.

I put Carlisle Radial Trail RH load D on my trailer. Low miles but they are holding up well. Specs are on the linked page.

For ST, I'd go with the Maxxis M8008 mentioned above. Discount Tire sells them, but you would need to order them. And the advice to have them balanced is good advice. These tires have a max speed rating of 65 mph.

For LT, check out Goodyear Cargo tires. If you are going LT, be sure that the load range is the same or better than your OEM tires. You also need to check for clearance as the LT tire may be slightly larger in height and width.

You can address these concerns by going to tiresize.com They have a great tool to compare tire sizes and a way to visualize the difference. So you would plug in your current tire size and the size of the one you are considering.

I looked at them just now and see that they come in a size close to yours - but a little shorter - Size: 225/70R15C. Use that link to see the difference. The load range may not cut it though.

I almost bought the cargo tires, but thought I'd give the Maxxix a try. so far, so good. Good luck.

I haven't been able to find any LT tires in this size that have an equal or better load rating. Just looking for information.

You won't find any 15" LT tires with a 2540 lb rating. Our 1/2 ton trucks stopped using 15" wheels years ago and those sizes and load ranges are history.
I've had two GN flatdeck trailers....... a 9800 lb 5th wheel RV.......and my present 11200 lb RV trailer came with ST225/75-15 D.
I can't afford replacing tires every 3-5 years so I upgrade them to 16" wheels and LT E tires at 2680 lbs on 5k-5.2k axles. I run them for 7-8 + years and 50k-55k miles.

The tirerack.com has tons of tires sizes/diameters from a dozen or so tire makers.
However for ST tire makers I would go directly to their websites for exact info.

I see PJ trailer and Starlite trailers have been using the Provider ST tire by Taskmaster.
Starlite is down the road from me and their commercial customers are reporting good service and good reliability with them.
The Providers have lost that rounded ST sidewall profile and are a very good looking tire with a M speed rating. Provider.

I have found my Maxxis M8008 ST tires to be the best trailer tires I have ever owned. Many on here will say the same thing. Be sure to have your new tires balanced, too.
