New 2013 Eagle Cap 1160 to Western Australia

New Eagle Cap 1160 leaves Port of Tacoma today via ship to Fremantle, Western Australia. My couch is on it's way. This is my third Truck Camper in 11 years. First was a Small Pine Mountain Popup, no toilet, but on my F250 4x4, we could go just about anywhere. Had a gaucho sofa, which I really liked, but kitchen was cramped. One had to sit while the other dressed or cooked, but had a great oversized Cabover Queen sized bed with under bed storage. I liked, wife always complained, too cramped, it was.
We are both looking forward to rear slideout sofa and floor space of 7' x 4' in middle when new Eagle Cap 1160 has both slideouts open. Even has an entry full height wardrobe & drawer. My other thing we both are looking forward to is the dry bath.
1160 with Ram 3500 DRW will have 3.5 inches each side of Fenders when load/unload,
Currently have 1.5 centimetres, less than 1 inch, interesting!
My only regret is have smaller wardrobe in Cabover of 1160 and put window on both sides. I get the no window side, makes her happy!
Next, what trailer to buy for the Toys!

I've been in that exact camper. That is the one I have been eye balling at UNeekRV. Is that the one you purchased or just a picture of one you found on the net. Its only a half hour from our house.

Yes, two are in the original location, as well as four more in that pic.

As far as a tube for fishing poles, yes, you could run a tube long enough if properly placed close to the black/grey tanks. My bet would be you could run a tube all the way from the rear to the front, 12 foot. (Or close to 3 meters for you blokes down unda :B ).

Doug... wouldn't it take four 6 VDC golf cart batteries? ...I thought that you have a 24 VDC system in Australia.

You'll also find that there is a ton of "Hidden" storage. When you open the rear "barn doors" you'll see a thin wood panel/cover at the far rear of the storage. Take that panel off and you get access to the rear end of the tanks.
I found that right in front of the fresh water tank was a perfect spot for four golf cart batteries. Knock a small vent hole in each side and you're set

No registration on Camper, has to be converted to 220 volt, new WFCO power converter, new power points, rear lights to have amber turning light and white reversing lamp, install Sparrow rooftop reverse cycle airconditioner, change gas tank connections to Australian wire braided leads & metric coupling. Have already had 7.5 cubic foot Norcold 3 way 220v Refer installed in US. Install 2nd solar panel. Install Veise wireless rear camera connected & powered via clearance lights. www.veise.com Install Torklift Super Hitch on Ram 3500 Crew Longbed. Install swing out Stable Loads. Install 2 MaxxAir water proof Vent Covers. Install Torklift GlowGuide Handrail. Install 12ft Flagpole buddy, Bike Rack, Ladder assist. Install 2 x 12v TV's.

This is the type of Trailer I am looking for. Size required is L 8ft x W 5ft x H 6ft. Sadly, not available in Australia. So I will import a Sea Container with 5, sell 4, keep 1. Very common in the US.

For a few toys, Quad bike(s), Trail bike(s), etc.

Sheriffdoug It is getting closer hey. The anticipation is growing.
I just had a quick look on line and your TC looks great with so much room.
I have attached a pic of our little trailer made of 1"Gal RHS and ACP. It is very lite and fits all our stuff. The best thing is I can see over the top of it thru the rear view and the Hitch camera keeps an eye on the tyres etc. With the low drawbar it tows really well and you don't have to worry about wobble.
