New Lance 1172

Well, we finally took the plunge and put a down payment on an 1172. We've been planning to move to a TC for about 5 years, and I'm finally in a place to do it. We'll pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Spent the last year getting the other pieces of the puzzle in place - upgraded my truck to a lightly used 2015 Chevy 3500 DRW diesel, and picked up a Jeep JK with the intention to flat-tow it on longer trips.

Just posting this because I'm super excited and to thank the folks on this forum for answering a lot of questions over the years and for the pictures and stories that cemented the idea of the truck camper as the right RV for our lifestyle.

I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions once we get the 1172 and start the fun. Guess it's time to update my signature, too!

Congrats! We down sized from a 41'FW TH and it's been great.

@billyray50 - yep, Princess Craft in Round Rock. They seem like a good outfit from what i've read. Talked to them several times over the past few years at various RV shows.

I have well over 200 days now in our 1172 and have been all over in it with as many as 5 staying in it to just myself. Its a great setup and one I have yet to find that can beat it. We did a couple things when we ordered ours that we are glad we did...we deleted the oven and upgraded the microwave to a convection/microwave so the wife has more cabinet space. We also upgraded to 2 x factory installed solar panels which we love...makes topping off batteries even faster in the morning.
