I was ready to post this and it came pack ERROR thread has been closed.

"I have always said to ignore the people that side track a thread as it happens, i know I have gone off topic before also. BUT maybe a PM between these two would save a lot of scanning to get to the next post.

Really hate to see this one get closed as it's a good topic for people interested in a new truck."

I like beer mug I got last night, filled with beer for a 2nd place finish best thank you very much.
Fortunately, it was not a slooper, I'd still be asleep! Sleeping off that amount of beer. ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple of guys at work with one owning a 01 Super Duty 7.3 has over 350k miles with a chrome bumper and another owner of a 09 Super Duty 6.4 has around 300k miles King Ranch painted bumper. The chrome bumper on the 01 looks about new and the 09 painted bumper King Ranch looks like ****.

There's been a exception to the chrome bumper durability as another owner of another brand started rusting a the chrome was peeling off.

So the difference in our stories is the brand.

I will be honest there are some tiny rock chips but you don't notice them unless you get close. Still like the looks of the painted better with my combo.

I'll keep my painted bumpers. When I sold my last truck the paint was near perfect so the second owner brought it to a 3M shop to have film put on the hood, bumpers, fenders and lower panels.

How about a picture of your Longhorn seats and how they are a Longhorn option.

There are 3 seat options available thru 2018. First pic is mine with Filigree and Second version would be my color without the Filigree (Cowboy Stitching) Third option is second pic, it's NOT available with the Filagree.

Third pic is the LongHorn cluster, I lOVE it.

had a neighbor with a ford a couple of years ago that looked new but the chrome was lifting off . it was a big long bubble. Truck was not brand new but nothing is perfect.

Sure but for the vast majority of trucks with high miles and age the chrome plating is much more durable than a painted steel bumper.

Although, if the Longhorn was more than just an appearance package and it came with the things I couldn't get in a Laramie like seat and steering wheel warmers or projector headlights then I would have lived with the ugly seats.

Yep, our Laramie has.

From my window sticker.

Standard on Laramie:
Heated Steering Wheel
Heated Front Seats
Ventilated Front Seats

Option equipment:
Leather-Trimmed Bucket Seats $ 500
Heated Second-Row Seats
Laramie Package 28H

Keyless Enter 'n Go(TM) $ 150
Remote Start System (N/A Manual
Transmission)
$ 200

That sounds like our Laramie, also 10 way power drivers and 6 way power passenger seat.

I'm happy about the TPMS covering the trailer, the trailer camera you can add and integrate into the factory system. Adaptive cruise is another bit I like. Quieter engine and cab. The torque number got the headlines, but the other upgrades are more important to me.

I happen to like the cattle tan seats, but without the fancy stitching. ๐Ÿ™‚ They actually offer 3 different seat colors in the Longhorn.
