Nitrogen in tires

Getting my trailer ready for the 1st trip of the year. I haven't checked just yet (I will soon) but camping world put nitrogen in my tires. I don't want to drag it down to camping world to get the tires pressurized. Is there any reason I can't just use my compressor?

The only real know benefit from using Nitrogen would be that it does not allow the moisture to form as quick... It is a much dryer product.. And some say that nitrogen will not allow the cords to rust internally as quickly as the 78% version :h . . I like my plain old air.... but what do I know >?

I can tell you that it really makes a difference, I get 50% better mileage, it added 70 ft.lbs of torque and 40 HP to our engine and it paid my kid's way through college.

Oh ya, I almost forgot. While on our last trip it mowed our lawn and re-roofed our house.

Here is the sales pitch In got:
Nitrogen has larger molocules than Oxygen, so it cannot pas thru the rubber as easy. The tires will keep pressure much longer.

My response: So that means that it is the oxygen that is leaving my tires the fastest. And every time I add air, the percentage of nitrogen in the tire increases
And you want me to pay how much for it?

Plain WRONG! Nitrogen follows the same temperature and pressure rules ("Boyle's Law) as any other gas.
The only reasonably legitimate reason for using Nitrogen is that it is probably drier than regular air.

There's no reason why you can't just use your air compressor to refill the tires, even if they were filled with nitrogen before. The air you're putting into the tires is 78% nitrogen anyways.

The air from your compressor is 80% Nitrogen.
Close enough!
Merits of Nitrogen have been discussed ad nauseum on this Forum.
Consensus seems to be no reason NOT to use it if it is free.
Not worth paying for it otherwise.

And unless Camping World evacuated your tires prior to inflating them (which I doubt) you already have some regular air in there anyway.
