Nitrogen has larger molocules than Oxygen, so it cannot pas thru the rubber as easy. The tires will keep pressure much longer.
My response: So that means that it is the oxygen that is leaving my tires the fastest. And every time I add air, the percentage of nitrogen in the tire increases

Nitrogen is put into tires because it's not as sensitive to temperature changes. It won't drop pressure when it's cold or raise pressure when it's hot out.
