Okay...I'm confused

I recently purchased a set of Honda EU2000i generators (barely used) with a parallel cable kit and 30amp adapter. My set up is pictured here:

Now, I'm helping some friends get their set and I discovered that Honda NOW makes a EU2000i "companion" model with 30amp connection BUILT IN. (Price: $1279.95 from Honda - Here's the link)

Okay...that's cool. But THEN...I went onto CampingWorld's website and saw this ad for parallel cables and 30 amp adapter.

Can this be right???? The old 30 amp adapters for the Honda Gens were around $200...and CampingWorld is now selling the simple 20 to 30 amp adapter and DOES THIS SERIOUSLY DO THE SAME THING???? Is that all the adapting it needs???

Someone with some technical information please help me out here!

You might want to open the vent on that extended run rank.... It's looking a little bloated...

I just used mine for 5 days dry camping at the track... Love those extended run tanks!!

The EU2000i Companion is hardly new, been around for quite awhile. Not sure what the confusion is, one kit merely parallels an EU and a Companion together, the more expensive kit includes a 30 amp receptacle. Same difference really, just a convenience factor with the 30 amp receptacle. FWIW, Canadian models don't have any parallel ports ... but they can still be paralleled by simply connecting one receptacle on one unit to another receptacle on the second unit but it requires a cable with suicide plugs ... works, but ya gotta be careful. :E

Okay...called CampingWorld and the ad on their website is for the NEW Honda Generators INCLUDING the campanion unit with the 30 amp conversion BUILT IN. The "plug" in the ad is for the twist-lock 30 amp connectors.

Problem solved!
