I have a 2007 Lance 815 and was wondering if anyone has added any exterior speakers. If so where did you connect the wires and where'd you hide the wires? If so could you post some pics? Thanks.

My thoughts were someone with a Lance 815 could answer the question best.

I have front & rear speakers in my TT with an A / B switch. I cut the wires to the front speakers & put a quick connect/ disconnect on them & tapped the wires preceding that connection, so as to not overload the amp.I just disconnect the front speakers inside when I want to run the outside speakers.

Not the space so much (likely less than 2") as getting from point A to B. Drop a speaker and see, unless your speakers were near cabinets generally not fun.
Seems it would be easier to tap from back side of radio? Possibly switching radio output so its not driving more speakers than it needs to.

You may want to do another posting directing that question directly to the TC forum.

I don't have a TC but I do have a TT. Since I'm an old dog, I have different media, cassettes, CD's & Ipod,

I wanted to use my existing AM/FM stereo with built-in cassette player. With that, I can listen to the radio or play a cassette. It happens to have an external jack that I can plug in my portable CD player or Ipod allowing me to use the other devices directly through the system.

I tapped the existing coach speaker wires & ran new wires to my "porch light" housing. I drilled a hole on either side of the housing & used female RCA connectors. I used the female type of connectors that comes apart, with a keeper nut on the backside, so they are held securely in the porch light housing. I then purchased a 50'length RCA cable with male connectors on both ends & cut it in half, giving me 25' for both right & left speaker. When I want to use my outside speakers, I just plug them in, running the wires to each corner of the awning & hang them from there.

PS: I found some small rubber caps at Lowes that fit nicely over the female connectors, keeping moisture & dirt out of them.

When I was looking at installing some outside speakers I discovered and Ipod and wireless speaker at Costco. Before you turn your nose up you need to listen to the big sound of this speaker. Must be Bose technology. I can take it over to the table and play it without disturbing others. I can take it out in my boat. I can take it out in my UTV. Just a thought.
