The folks in the Folding Trailer forum have started a fun topic, so I thought perhaps we could do the same. I'll start.

Ok, so it's not my trailer, but it's a picture that conveys a lesson. All too often on here you see banter about people trying to buy trailers bigger than their capabilities (or their vehicle's capabilities). There are good reasons to not go beyond these capabilities.

The photo is from a MVA in our fire district from last weekend. That's a brand new Durango that was pulling a brand new trailer by an under-experienced driver.

#1 reason why our traiblazer totes the kids around, and not the htt.

But the new models equipped with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine can tow up to 6,200 pounds and with a 5.7L HEMI V8 with Fuel Saver Technology, you can tow up to 7,400 pounds.

The things that come to those that wait will be the junky stuff left by those that got there 1st.

Remember; never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I'd like to upgrade soon to a larger HTT... a bunkhouse model maybe 4 for 5 feet longer.

Our's is the unique 21ft with rear bunks across the back.

Love the truck, always been a fan of the 90s GMs.

My old 96 K2500:

Kids (3) were getting cramped in the extended cab, so I bought this 97 K2500 Sub because I couldn't find any CCLB trucks:

Both have the 6.5L TD, but with the HTT we have now, I could 'downgrade' to a 5.7 gasser if I found one.

It's a 98 K3500 CC witht he 5.7 gasser. It was beat to piss, rusted to the gills, dents, and stunk like hog heavon. I restored it cosmetically, and deskunked the interior. All is well for our 4 year old, 4 month old, 7 year old black lab, dw, in a CC from 2 decades back.

Our new to us 2008 Starcraft Antigua 195 CK with our 2011 Ford Explorer. Brought it home 100KM (60M mile) from the dealer in rain and wind and it towed very well.
we are looking forward to our first trip out this weekend for Canada Day.

Congrats on the Antigua and enjoy. It's a nice unit, we looked at that one and went with the Shamrock 19 instead, very similar.

Enjoy the long weekend.

we looked at the Shamrocks sister and brother (Rockwood and Surveyor) and it basically came down to the white interior as the final selling feature - the boss liked the white interior.

We are very much looking to our first weekend out. Spent tonight putting all the gear in it. Amazing how much room we have over the pup, not a jigsaw puzzle anymore.

Have a great Canada Day weekend, we are off to Emily provincial park for our shakedown trip
