ProPride Stinger and F350 Dimensions

So, I try to find the answers to my questions BEFORE posting here, but with these, I haven't had any luck.

It looks like the stinger on the ProPride is 2" x 2" for the hitch receiver - correct?

What is the hitch receiver size on an F350? Is it also 2" x 2" or is it 2.5" x 2.5"? In looking at footnote #3 at the bottom of page 3 of this link ...

http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/14_superdutypu_sep11.pdf

... it makes it seem like it's got the larger size. So using the adapter would reduce the capacities - correct? (Of course, the truck is still more than capable of towing my TT)

As always: THANKS!

My 2013 F-350 has the 2.5". I have a Hensley and use the adapter. No reason I can think of to get a bigger stinger. It does make it slightly more difficult to align the holes, but nothing to worry about.

Why I don't imagine anyone towing with any other vehicle than their own. The adapter gives you flexibility to tow with any capable vehicle with a hitch.

I would get the 2.5 from Sean and be done with it. Why use the insert when you don't have to?

Yeah. It is 2.5" square. I just got differing installed ... it took me about 4.5 hours. I think I can live with the 2" adapter in there for now.

The newer F250 and 350 are now 2.5" as well. Of course you can use the spacer to go down to 2" but that adds an extra amount of slop or play. Call Sean he would probably swap out the stinger if you pay the shipping.

Oops, after rereading your post I understand what you were asking... I have a Chevy 2500... It has the 2.5" receiver - I can't speak for Ford.

Go look at a truck on the dealers lot that is similar.

Okay, cool. So I'm guessing that means the F350 *is* in fact 2.5".

I've already got a ProPride hitch system in transit to me, but I didn't even think about the possibility of the different size. I'll have to use the adapter until I can figure out how to get the 2" swapped for the 2.5".

Thanks!
