we're about a 1/4 the way into our annual 7000km maritime Canada trip, the first with the 2017 ram 1500 hemi 8 speed.
towing 5500 lb tt.
fuel economy at 105-110 kph is right around 22-24 l per 100km, we're impressed
did get into one situation worth mentioning, stuck doing 45 kph behind old grandpa in a ford edge at the bottom of a long 12% grade, floored the gas pedal!! buried the fuel consumption guage at 99l/100km. tach reading up to 5000, speed up to almost 90 and still accelerating awesome power!!
good thing it wasn't a diesel, grandpa would still be cleaning his windshield
handling is great, you know its there, but nothing else

The Hemi got so much better with the advent of the 8 speed. Hmnn.
Grandpa's diesel may not be as fast but he will smile when he passes the boneyard with your hemi in it.

LOL... There's an older gentlemen (and I use that term loosely) who looks to be in his 60's that lives in my same area that has a tuned/deleted ram 6.7 cummins that we run each other when we cross paths. :C

Most times I'm the one cleaning the windshield. 😞

LOL, ya know that acceleration and trying it out thing is something many of us just cant shake. That's a nice package, not too much for the truck and easy stress free towing.
