Rattle in truck

Getting a bit of vibration on my 2015 Chevy 2500HD - varies with the road I happen to be driving on, but it shakes the center console ... kinda annoying if nothing else. IT sometimes shakes quite a bit, sometimes less, can't feel it in the steering wheel at all, but the passenger seat vibrates also.

We haul a Truck camper, not a trailer. Interestingly enough, the vibration stops completely when the TC is loaded.

But, I'm guessing tires? Tires are stock Bridgestone 265's E ...
There are times on a smooth road, where it does not occur. That's why I'm thinking tires, and not frame or wheel issues.

Any comments? I'm planning on new tires pretty soon, as these stock tires from a Mfgr never quite cut it ...

Will likely go to BFG AT KO, 275 E or 285 E when I make the change, and probably change rims as well. Altho those Coopers look pretty good too ... I've always been BFG, but am not immune to change.

Sounds more like drive train to me. Could be anything from an out of balanced drive-shaft to a u-joint or even an out of balanced torque converter. Being you feel it in the center of the truck that rules out tires IMO. If you dealer keeps giving you the same old run around ask for the factory rep to be called in or find a different dealer.

Also make damn sure they write a new repair order each and every time you take it in! You will need this should you want to pursue a lemon law suit.

Yeah -- good idea, will take it to dealer (again). Unfortunately, the usual dealer answer is: We don't feel it, everything is fine. So, we'll see next week ...

Last time, they rotated the tires (not sure if they balanced again, or not)
Tires have 10,000 miles now, vibration/rattle began fairly soon, a few thousand miles, but was on a road trip. Am now back home, so will take it in.

Sounds like Driveshaft bearing or rear driveline Ujoint. Grab a coffee while the dealer figures it out. The Ujoints are held in with injected plastic. Replacement will use standard clips.

Since it is happening unloaded and you're talking about a 2015 model, sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. The stock tires should not be causing vibration.
X2. It's under warranty - let the dealer take care of it.

X3-- if my 2015 starts rattling , that's the first stop I am making.... I did not pay that much money to have rattles.... There are so many variables , that makes it almost impossible to guess at it...

How many miles on the tires? Rotated regularly?

I'd get underneath and check the interior sidewallls and look for any irregularities (bubbles, ripples) that may indicate a bad belt.

As far as tire brands... Ask 10 people get 10 different answers! But for me, I'm a Goodyear and Michelin fan. Currently have Michelin ATX L/T2 on my '12 2500 with about 32k. No complaints, been good in the Syracuse snow, and tread wear has been even.

Continentals... suck.
