I got a lesson on construction for 2012 passport trailer they use cardboard between outer walls of the inner walls so basically if you have a leak the cardboard sucks the water in like a sponge why they do this I have no idea to me it's very stupid I'm sorry for frankness but when you look at $5000 repair for a minor leak why would they build that with cardboard in their there so many other materials that would work better I'll look the construction of a new trailer when I buy again.

If they don't use Styrofoam, whatever they put between the walls probably will absorb water. I have a Passport by Cobra, don't know what they used in mine, but the key is to try and keep maintenance up so they don't leak.

Thanks for sharing this. Looks like Pasport is not on my good list.

Never owned your brand before, just a head up....here is another place to check really good. Look on top of your entrance doors. Mine took a mirror and run your finger across top edge. Seems like a small vent hole maybe 1/8 in size. Always exposed to elements. It gets wet just being there. Makes short life of door. Corrugated honey comb looking cardboard on inside falls apart quick.

Well not real quick. Always after warranty runs out.

Anyways a dab of sealant will fix those water grabbers. My doors had plenty of other "vents" made by the "quality" carpentry without letting more water in.

They didn't have to pay to get rid of it and called it "green" because they reused it?

My guess is they used it because it's cheap and light.
