Sewer hose storage??

We just bought a new TT and can't seem to find a convenient space to store the sewer hose. Only have one outside storage and it is "full!" I can store the hose inside the bumper but said bumper has been diamond plated so the rivets are sticking inside the bumper and catch on the hose when I'm trying to pull it out. Has become quite frustrating! Have thought about securing a PVC pipe on top of the bumper maybe with bungee cords?

Any other ideas or pics?

Thx in advance!!

You can simply reconnect the ends together and store them in your pass-through compartment which is what I do.

I use a 4" PVC pipe with screw in fittings on either ends. I mounted it on top of the bumper, held down with a few bungee cords. It works like a charm for sliding the sewer hose in and out of. It's one of the best mods I ever did.

put a plastic piece of gutter into the bumper to slide the hose on . my TT just has a flat bumper and I used 4 ratchet straps to hang a piece of black pipe onto it.

As already suggested....pvc fence post. I put some spring closures to hold the end caps. Secured it to a frame cross member near the dump pipe outlet with a bunch of industrial strength zip ties.

As a previous poster mentioned, easiest way it to run 4 inch ABS or PVC pipe under the back of the trailer. you can get a vent fitting for one end and a screw fitting & cap for the other. the screw fitting will give you a bit larger diameter where the threads are that you can likely get the bayonet fitting on hose inside. it worked on my old RV.

I used 4" ABS pipe with screw on fittings on both ends. You need to use thin adapters to insert into the 4" ID pipe, but it works great and it can be easily cleaned out from either end.

I drilled out the rivets and installed shorter ones.

1st choice...Drill out rivets and replace with a tiny bolts.

2nd choice.. install something else to hold hose.

There are some really neat "fence post" set ups on here. But first I would make use of what you already have.

Hi,

I have some 4" diameter black ABS pipe that has a screw on fitting on the lower end, and is open on the upper end. It is suspended from the frame with metal 'plumbers tape' that you can find at any hardware store, along with the ABS pipe and fittings. The open upper end fits snugly against one of my storage compartment doors, that is exposed to the underside of the RV in the back, as well as the water tank above the basement floor. My one fitting fits inside the 4" tube, it has a detachable 90* fitting on the end that goes into the park end of the sewer line, while the RV end will not fit into the 4" tubing, so it can not go in to far.

I wrapped the plumbers tape around the ABS twice, and it holds it snugly, without any screws into the 4" ABS. It has been mounted this way for about 6 years, and while it has drug against the ground, it has not fallen off yet.
