Shower curtain fastener mod?

I am very paranoid about water getting where it shouldn't (as I imagine we all are), and so I want to improve my corner shower stall before I use it. I want the curtain edges to fasten more securely to each edge of the shower enclosure, so that water won't accidentally escape. Any suggestions on how best to do this? The best idea that comes to my mind is velcro strips, sticky side on the shower enclosure wall, and sewn onto the edge/hem of the shower curtain. Snap fasteners might also work... any thoughts?

The largest offenders I found of water getting out in my camper where not the shower curtain. It wraps around enough that unless you spray the water at the ends it's not the issue. I just smooth mine along the walls and make sure it is wrapped all the way around.

For me, I found that I had two places water would end up on the floor:

One was the shower hose itself, which was stiff and ran up to the shower head at an angle giving the water a path down behind the curtain and onto the floor. A longer, more flexible hose (Inox)that would run from the faucet, under the shower curtain and up to the shower head took care of that issue.

Issue two occurred if the trailer wasn't perfectly level side-to-side. Water would run down the shower walls and along the gap between the tub and wall panels and then down onto the floor. A small "dam" made from tub and tile caulk in the gap makes sure that it gets directed back into the tub before it can run onto the floor.

:E Wow, that's very enlightening.... and a little scary too. I can picture it like a movie: Camera is in tight on a little trickle of water, worming its way down into nefarious, never before suspected areas... oh the horror!

We have a small corner shower in our travel trailer so here's how I solved the "sticking shower curtain" problem and how I secured the shower curtain to the wall so water remains where it belongs inside the shower. 5 Pics Start Here.

Super, but after 8 years is the velcro still in good shape? Also, do you have the soft side on the curtain, or the prickly side on the curtain? I'm guessing soft side on the curtain as that will be the surface that moves around and therefore most likely to catch your skin and scratch you if it were the prickly side. I'll keep the prickly side of the tape affixed to the wall enclosure.

We have the hook ("prickly") side on the shower wall. Never really was an issue.

The shower curtain side gets replaced when the shower curtain does. Never kept track but guessing about three of four times in eight years?

The shower side has been replaced once in eight years of full time use. Easy to do, just peel of the old and stick on the new strip in it's place.

Each end of the shower curtain has two strips about 4 inches long, one near the top and one near the top of the tub.

We use the Velcro that comes in a roll, about one inch wide, and has a sticky side to mount. No sewing needed. Cut to length, stick and use.

Velcro and the RV life are natural friends. 🙂 We use everywhere and love it! If something needs to be hung, or tied down, Velcro is always our first choice:)

We use your Velcro idea. The curtain wraps around into the tub area and then stays there with the Velcro. Been working well for 8 years now. So far so good.
