Hi Guys,

My slide out wont slide in and i have replaced the switch but nothing happens. The battery is fully charged. I just need to manually override and slide in but cant find the manual override. I have a Keystone 2000 Springdale lite 485. The slide out system is a Dewald Hydra-Sync System. Does anyone know how i can manually override this?

Some have a hex head right on the pump to manually pump fluid using a drill.

There are so many different slide mechanisms, that you will probably need to call the manufacturer or your dealer to get an answer.

To manually operate my slide, the instruction requires me to cut out a window in the trailer's underbelly covering and use a socket wrench to turn the motor after applying a 12v current to a switch to deactivate a locking mechanism!

Make sure that the slide fuse located near the battery is intact and that all slide wiring connectors are in good shape.

Another item to check... my slide switch was wired where the ground was off of the chassis and that connection was extremely loose. I removed it, cleaned it and then tightened it back down and it started working properly again.

But as other's have noted, my manual slide over-ride is also on the opposite side of the slide and requires the removable crank arm to bring it in manually.

You may want to check between the battery and the slide for a selenoide and see if you have a loose connection. I ran into the same problem only to find out I had a loose wire. My selenoide was located on the front tongue frame between the battery and the slide. What a relief it was to find out it was something so simple.

My override is in a small cut out in the underbelly by the entrance steps. Once you open it you have to insert a socket set in there. Mine is a Primetime Lacrosee.

You should have a large handle with your tools that came with the trailer. It'll look similar to the stabilizer handle. Then you'll have to find the access hole in the trailer body. Some are on the same side as the slide. Mine is on the opposite side. It'll be 1-1/4" or around that and have a plastic collar typically. Insert the handle and crank her in. I don't imagine it would be any good to try and rush it in.
