Stiction Eleminator really works

I have a 2000 F-350 with the 7.3 diesel and 227,000 miles on it. Yes, 227,000. It had started to run rough, loud and blowing black smoke all the time. Trailer Life had a little article on Stiction Eliminator by Lubrication Specialities that gauranteed to clean the injectors and also the turbo and EGR system within 4000 miles or a full refund. Better than new injectors so I tried it and it WORKS.
The engine quieted down (not nearly so embarassing) and the black smoke quit. The mileage went from 8 to 8.5, to 9.5 to 10 mpg. I am guessing that I must have been dumping raw, unburned fuel out the tail pipe (you could actually smell it).
This product is not snake oyle. It worked for me. Before our long trip 5,000 miles, I changed the oil and replaced 2 quarts with the Eliminator. I would recommend that you put this product in before a trip so you can really see the difference. Glad I did. Don

Diesels putting out black exhaust is usually incompletely burned fuel and one of the causes can be what your product cleaned up. 227,000 is a good start. I don't expect a big expense until the injectors need replacing, hopefully not before 300k.

I sure hope your miles per gallon number are while towing a tall camper. I get ten on average driving 62 mpg, 11 at 55 - 56. 17 empty at 65 mph, but I have a dually with a 4.10. SRWs usually do better.
