Our 1985 Coleman Newport camper was stolen recently. We are not even sure what day because it was in storage. All our camping supplies we have accumulated over 20+ years was in it too. So many memories too. Can anyone explain to me how to add pics here please?

That's good to know. Sometimes 50+ year-old trailers don't have any documentation. Getting them registered can be a bear.

From six months of no camping to having a winter site 30 minutes from a ski resort! I'm a happy camper!

keep eye on South Carolina Craigs list. This state requires not tag, registration, title nor inspection on trailers. Unfortionately that makes us an easy location to sale stolen trailers. We can title any trailer with just a bill of sale.

Keep an eye out for it on craigslist

I would think that the storage location should also have insurance to cover theft. Hope you get a good resolution to this.

I'm sorry to hear that. Trouble seems to visit most everyone at some time or another. I'm glad it didn't involve an altercation though. I hope the insurance company does right by you, and soon.

Thanks everyone. We have insurance but of course it takes a while because they have to wait to see if its found. It was in really good shape with newer canvas, air, furnace, awning, screen room. Dont know how they will figure the value. It was in the storage area where we live so it was "store at your own risk". Weve lived here 20 years and stored the camper there for about 15 with no issues. Just dont understand it.

What a shame! Hopefully you are covered, not that insurance makes up for memories.

If you can't/don't know how to join Photobucket, just send me the pic files in a message or PM me with your e-mail address. You can send the pics and I'll post them for you so you get the pix up ASAP.

I would also check into why the trailer can get stolen from a valid storage place. Might get some reprive from that as well...

Sorry that your unit was stolen. I hope you had full replacement ins coverage. Not that insurance can replace your special items.

Yes, make sure that you have the photo on a website like Photobucket, then get the URL. Once you have that, click on the little "letter" icon and place the URL in the box and then add 640 in the second box (the width box)

Sorry about your loss
